If your kids like it, yes it is just fine. I like spaghetti in the morning too, or even chicken. Hey, some peeps eat bacon and eggs for dinner right? You're a good parent

If it's regular white spaghetti, they aren't getting nutrition from it or their energy to start the day. I mean, once a month or so isn't horrible, but if you can help it then try to at least make it a whole grain spaghetti. These days they actually taste good. Obviously, a well balanced meal is best (low fat & sugar, high fiber, some protein, a fruit).
It doesn't sound like you're going overboard, but if you are in other ways, the other thing to be concerned about is that there is an epidemic of obese children these days, which is really bad for their health.
Try Trader Joe's for healthy choices that are not costly. They are great! Their stuff tastes really good, too.
If you want to take it further, talk to a (good) nutritionist. Sometimes, you can find one working at a health food store.
I apologize if I have gone overboard. It's getting late here and I need to go to bed. Hope this helped (someone).

Of course its not a good idea. Loading children up on empty carbs in the morning will have them sleepy at 10am and fighting to stay awake. They will be more hungry at lunchtime, which after eating, the body goes into a sympathetic mode and again, you feel like you need a nap. Bowl of vitaminized cereal with couple pieces of fruit and/or yogurt would be a great way to give them energy and that would help them thru the day. Do you really think any nutritionist would ok a plate of spaghetti for morning, hot or cold. You're the parent, you're in charge? If you're giving your kids fattening foods, empty calories you're setting up their nutritional foundations all wrong.

cold spaghetti by itself is not a balanced diet... In the morning you need fast energy from fruits, and long term energy from carbs, that can be spaghetti.... There is nothing wrong with giving aternative foods for breakfast, expecially if it means they are more likely to eat it....

I think it is perfectly fine as long as it's only a treat now and then and that they actually like it!
I think it's great that you actually make sure your kids have breakfast! Lots of adults and children never think about having it which causes all sorts of problems.
Try having it with toast so it's more nutritionally balanced and beware of how much sugar and salt may be in it.

Not my choice for a breakfast, and if I had kids they sure wouldn't get cold spaghetti for breakfast, even if they asked for it. Are your kids too young to tell you to at least warm it up.

If they'll eat it and as long as it doesn't have any green furry stuff growing on it, they'll be fine. something with protein for their starving brains is probably best, but I've been known to feed mine chocolate for breakfast on occasion.
What about second breakfast???
