Those bands are for posers. Green Day are sell outs. Almost everyones knows about AFI, so that's not cool and they also suck alot, and now even more than ever. I say you move on and listen to good punk bands like Anti-Flag, the Casualties, the Misfits, the Unseen, the Dead Kennedys, and Black Flag. You can't go wrong with them and some other hardcore punk bands are the Career Soldiers and Cheap Sex.

I'm more old school when it comes to rock music--Led Zeppelin, GNR, The Beatles, etc., but AFI and Green Day are definitely two of my favorite bands.
