I had to go through the surgery and it was very difficult to recover from. I would prefer child birth any day. I have to say that in the long run I am better off for having it. Has your doctor tried banding them. If they are not too bad they will put a rubber band around them to stop the blood flow and apparently they fall off . I never had it though I did have some injections to shrink them. I hope you dont have to go through the surgery. Sorry if I am scaring you.

Actually I work in a GI clinic and the best thing for those are eating lots of bran and a high fiber diet.

Over the counter or prescription suppositories. See your doctor. Change your diet. Be more active. Do you sit a lot?

Your doctor can give you suppositories that work very well. You might not even need surgery.
