umm...i dont get it, is it the american league that is in the major league or is it the national league? or both? or some in the american or some in the national?

There are 30 teams in MLB. 14 in the American Leage and 16 in the National Leage. The Leagues are broken down as follows: AL East (5 teams), West (4 teams) and Central (5 teams)
