do all the stuff with tea (as mentioned above) and make sure you warm up your voice (even if you aren't singing in the audition). Just hum a bit in each part of your range and do little kid songs like Row Row Row Your Boat to make sure you can control your voice in case it cracks. Good Luck!

You could drink some hot liquids such as tea or water, take one of those throat lozenges (it always soothes my throat), eat some plain ice cream, stay away from solid foods, and if you are practicing your lines then maybe you should do them in your head. I hope that will help .

Have you tried fresh squeezed lemon juice with honey? That usually soothes a sore throat. If nothing helps and it still feels bad tomorrow, try using the N'ice lozenges - they are very soothing.

Tonight, get some good sleep, gargle w/ warm salt water, before bed & tomorrow when awaken. Take a lemon, sliced w/ you to auditon. put a section in your mouth right b4 you go on. Note, pls eat a decent breakfast first,--at least oatmeal, or eggs & toast. you'll need your strength.

after you do the warm salt water gargle and get a good nights sleep and wear something around your neck to keep that area warm ... This is weird... I have seen opera singers and rock singers back stage just before hitting their first note swigging coke not pepsi go figure! they swear by it...It is cold sugary and JEEEEEZ but there you are one thought...

1. Don't force your voice!
2. Rest don't talk or sing untill you warm up!
3. Drink Plenty of fluids but no caffine or sugar! Bad for vocal chords!

Have fun!
