About $1.40 a gallon. and it was aobut 32cents a gallon when Kennedy was killed. *LOL* If you had asked what was the price of gas in 2000 and left Bush out of the question it wouldn't have been a partisan question. But you did and it is.

Now tell me what the President has to do with the price of gas. For that matter tell what government has to do with the price of gas? This isn't a fascist regieme like some in here would have you believe. Government doesn't have strict controls over the price of anything. And except for setting minimum wage government doesn't control wages either.

Bush was inaugurated on 1/20/2001
The price of gas then was $1.66 (1/22/2001)

all i remember is that when i started driving in new jersey in October 2001 regular gas was 99 cents a gallon and nows it 2.95
