Yes - I think mainly because the Nazis used it - anything that the Nazis did automatically becomes a bad idealology. Unless you're crazy.

Eugenics was discredited scientifically when biologists were able to determine that the different races were not sub-species of a genus, but rather variations of the same species. As such, the eugenic argument for classification based on assumed racial genetic hierarchy fell apart because we are all too closely related in biological terms (it's said that there is no more than 50 degrees of separation between any one person and every other person on Earth, regardless of race).
