Logical conclusion is to have a vote.

"Opposites" attract is a semantics play - but the Laws of Physics need to be described simply so that all can understand. It is not a contradiction.

"Birds ... " is simply an observation summarized from many observations, and may or may not be correct (that is, a "Theory") since some of the same flock may not stay together, for whatever reasons. Again a generalization is not necessarily a contradiction.

What is a real contradiction is termed an "Oxymoronic phrase"

such as a "wise fool", or an illogical impossibility such as "round square".

I don't believe in the 'literal' truth of sayings..... I believe in the possibility of these sayings. It all boils down to personal choice and desires. Whatever the heart wants, the heart wants!!! (Same goes for your stomach, books to read, etc. Insert appropriate material!)

To me they are like a yin and yang. Kinda like the saying "the same thing, only different" or "same difference".

Yes, and that's all they mean, not applicable to life.
