OH!
Seriously....
gargle with salt water tonight, take 2 aspirin and don't talk. I mean it DO NOT TALK! Rub some Vicks on your throat, you know what that is, fair girl!
And whatever you do, DO NOT take any "menthol" throat drops, that will TOTALLY dry out your throat!
Lots and LOTS of water. LOTS OF IT. So much that when you get up there and BELT OUT that ANTHEM, you are thinking "I TOTALLy gots ta PEE"..
good luck girl, I'm rootin' for ya

Honey I live this problem. I sing and I also get the sinus and throat problems. keep hydrated. Drink water. You can also try some tea with honey or anything that will sooth. don't talk much before you go on. PLEASE do not yell or scream I mae this mistake getting all caught up in the moment and singing loud and it has weakened my voice. make sure your microphone works so that you do not have to strain yourself. I sometimes will eat a piece of chocolate and believe it or not that helps. DO NOT drink milk. contact me if you need to.

I have a friend who sings a lot and her Ear Nose and Throat Doctor told her to drink children's motrion (2 tsp) with Mylanta (2tsp) {it's for upset tummies}. Put in the same dispenser and drink. The Motrin helps the sore throat and the Mylanta coats the throat with the Motrin.
You might also gargle with warm salt water.
Hope this helps and good luck with the singing.
PS...I know the combination sounds gross but it does work.

There are some throat lozenges, that have natural ingredients in them and one of the ingredients is slippery elm, they were used by opera singers, who have sore throats, the name of them eludes my mind ,maybe Thayer.s.Perchance some will read and know what the name is.!For the cold, fix a cup of tea ,not weak but strong squeeze lemon in until the tea turns a yellowish color add honey drink as hot as you can stand. Also a tea called throat coat. hope you get better!

Yes - take some Zinc lozenges, also drink some hot tea with lemon and honey, and LOTS of water. Avoid speaking as much as possible. Save your voice. Go to bed early and get a good nights sleep. As soon as you get up, take a long hot shower and hum in a low but comfortable tone to warm up your voice gently.
