My nephew (by marriage) is marrying a girl from the former Soviet bloc in a week. Several of us are speculating as to how long it will last. I say until the moment she receives her green card but do not know how many years or months this is. Does anyone know?

What nerve. How can you judge someone that you have never met and know hardly anything about??? Maybe they will prove all of you wrong. Be a leader in your family and stop talking behind people's backs...especially about your own family!

You never know. Besides, that's your nephew's problem since he's the one who chose to marry her.

You will be very surprise, but you are damaging their chances already. Marriage is tough enough without in-laws doing everything they can to scuttle it.

How do you know they are not in love? It's possible they could be. I would wish them well and hope they will be happy.

You don't know so you shouldn't stick your nose in it. Be great aunt and be supportive to the newlyweds.
