I mean, it's so good, don't you think, to see the US now making amends for past lacklustre performance, by doing some real policing around the world, after their past dismal performances and lack of bodily commitment of the previous 2 World Wars.
I guess it's now their turn to take the Brunt ot the work, I suppose ... but good to see the current generation rise to the occasion, nevertheless.

In both World War 1 and WW2, of course, they did not even bother entering them until the show was either all over, or until the vast majority of the Real Bull work was done - especially, in WW1 - but you would have thought they would have learnt that lesson sooner, than to wait until Pearl Harbour to bodily commit themselves in WW2!
Wouldn't you??

Well, Randy D, celticwarrior, missourim, and master s, your American-published modern history books might spin you that angle, but it is far from reality if you talk to the diggers and people of the period - 60, 70, 80 years ago
Never mind what you read or get preached!
But it's certainly fine that you are making up for lack of commitment previously

Yes and I am most proud of the domestic effort right here in our own backyard! People are starting to come together and fix problems in our society. As far as the war it could be going better (take it from someone who'se been over there) but it is definately on the right track. It seams the U.S is gaining a foothold on most of the world, and doing it without depending to much on our allies.

While we as a nation got into WW1 towards the end, it was because of the U.S. that it ended when it did. We lost alot of soldiers. In WW2 we went in eventually, but yes we did wait too long. Roosevelt was a Democrat lib. But as far as the rest of what you say, I couldn't disagree with you more. We did most of the work, we were the major supply of men and resources. I don't know where you get your inane and absurd info from, but it is way off. If it wasn't for the U.S. Europe would be goose stepping and such. I would really like to know where you heard such garbage.

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. Aside from down playing the courageous U.S. role in WW2, you make a wild assumption that current U. S. foreign policy and military aggressions are, somehow, 'good'.
We have a failed policy in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, throughout the Middle East and on the war on Terrorism. The present administration, far from making the world a safer place, has made it more dangerous. Our ineptness, arrogance and insensitivity is a shameful blot on America.
Probe beyond biased, media controlled headlines, and, I think you will find a far different world in which we are, in actuality, losing the struggle.

what? what are you retarded? the U. S. isnt the worlds police. we dont very own different international locations. its no longer the U. S.'s activity to do policing. its in basic terms convern must be the protection of the folk and not with the help of invading different international locations to take care of their oil. i think of youre uneducated on how distant places coverage works. or perhaps hassle-free courtesy.

The pace of the world has increased since then and we no longer have the luxury for the other side to strike first.

we are in a most precarious position both economically and militarily at the present ... and also on the home front we are in danger of total tyranny in this country. some of the laws and executive orders in place at the present are downright frightening ... and you think we are strong for our actions? our children will curse us for our lack of understanding and foresight.

Great idea!! I just can't find any to begin with. Your monologue of a question doesn't even relate to your initial question, so you wouldn't find anything to begin with either. God Bless you anyway.
