According to the Standard Days Method, if your menstrual cycle is between 26-32 days, then

* When the first day of your period arrives, this is Day1 of your cycle. Mark this on your calendar.
* Between Day 1 and Day 7, it is highly unlikely that you will become pregnant, so it is safe to participate in sexual intercourse without using birth control.
* Between Day 8 and Day 19, you are at your most fertile. You and your partner should abstain from sex or you should use an alternate type of birth control, such as a condom.
* Between Day 20 and 32 you are unlikely to get pregnant, so you can resume sexual intercourse.

But I would say that if getting pregnant or not getting pregnant is important to you, don't use this information as the only birth control/family planning method. In the case of birth control, if cost is an issue, consider Planned Parenthood http://www.plannedparenthood.org which charges on a sliding scale based on wages and is completely confidential. In the case of family planning, if you've been trying to conceive for more than 6 months to a year, you need to consult a Reproductive Endocrinologist, ASAP.

The worst time is when she is ovulating, which is generally right after her period ends. Within that 7-10 days she will be most fertile. The best time is probably right before her period or during. Of course, if you don't want her to get pregnant you should be relying on condoms and/or the pill. Condoms will protect you from disease and pregnancy. Double up with the pill and you can't go wrong. You can do it like rabbits, man!

Well, if you're using a proper form of birth control (like a condom) you can have sex any time. They all have a failure rate, of course, but used properly they're highly effective.

Just for your information, though, a woman usually ovulates 12-16 days before her period. Sperm can live up to 5 days given the right environment and the egg lasts about a day after ovulation. That means she's fertile approximately six days out of her cycle. But to really, truly know when those six days are (and thus, when the safe days are,) she'd have to be charting her basal body temperature and monitoring her fertility signs. If she's not it's really all a guess and that's not a very reliable form of birth control!

This is what I found and from personal experience its never a good idea to have unprotected sex right after because your sperm can live for up to 7 days in her which might result in pregnancy...try another method...
The average menstrual cycle is 28 days - that is counting day one as the first day of menstrual bleeding then the next period is due to start 28 days later. The period comes because an egg fails to get fertilised. The period comes about 12 to 14 days after the egg is produced. Therefore, in the average 28 day cycle the egg is produced around day 14. Sperms can live happily 48 hours in the vagina or the uterus so the most fertile time is day 12 to day 16. The least likely time to conceive is from day one to day seven. If your cycle is different from 28 days on average you have to adjust the calculations - the important thing to remember is that the egg is produced about 14 days BEFORE the next period starts - so there's always a bit of guess work involved.

Cycle day 1 is the first day of a girls period. Cycle day 12 give or take a couple days is when the egg drops. From cycle day 12 to 28 a girl is very fertile. Note Sperm can live inside a woman for 3 to 5 days.

Without knowing the individual cycle it is impossible to say.

Some will say that a woman ovulates 14 days after her last period OR 14 days before her period, but for many women that simply isn't true. It would only be true for the text book example of a 28 day cycle. Normally a woman will ovulate approximately ten to sixteen days before her period. But cycles vary from woman to woman and even vary for a single woman from cycle to cycle.

most fertile times are 5 days before durning and after her period along with days 12-16 from the start of her period so watch out for those days if you DO NOT want to get pregnant.

There is no safe time to have un protected sex. Use a condom and ask if shes on the pill. That way the chances are greatly decreased of getting pregnant.

you are more likely to get pregnant 2 weeks after her period. But since sperm can live up to 7 days you really can get pregnant anytime. Try using protection or dont have sex at all.

Unless you've screwed up your hormones by taking the pill or some other period-killer, the first 10 days after your period is over is the safest..

I'd still recommend avoiding internal ejaculation, just to improve your odds..

:-)
