It makes you a very strong person to know yourself so well that you know you only want to be friends with someone. Tell him you only want to be friends. He may not want to becuase you are dating right now. You must be prepared for this and you will be alright. Yes, you may feel you are hurting his feelings however he will be fine, maybe not right away but he will be eventually. Always be friends with a guy first, then you know if you want to date him. If not then you lose nothing and you keep your self respect and dignity.

No. It is fine to have a friend that is male. He can be your friend as long as sexual attraction does not become the main theme and motivation for your seeing each other. Keep it social and you can be friends. People can see what they want to see and that is all some people understand is a sexual entanglement.
You must rise above this pointless insinuation and ignore these people's talk.

Ignore the silly chatter - because that is what it is. Childish really. It is perfectly fine to have boys as friends. These are the same guys that will look out for your best interests as well. Cherish all your friends- boys or girls.
