musicians.....?

Question

What instrument(s) do you play, what type of music and how long have you played? I love music, I play guitar and drums and mostly rock music. Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich are some of my fav musicians. Who are yours?

I have 2 accoustic, both kinda crappy, an old Charvel and an Ibanez S470 for electric, and a Rickenbacker bass that needs an an amp. I had 3 other accoustics before I actually started playing at the age of 14, and 2 other basses since. I have been playing for 15 years, self taught including music theory. I play mostly metal, with a bit of rock, blues and classical, though not much as I really enjoy playing metal most. Favorites whos music I play often: (old) Metallica, Megadeth, Danzig, Type O Negative, Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Slayer, Pantera, Collective Soul, Nirvana, Dio.....

I play guitar all the time. The kind of music I play is Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Everybody I talk to said they like Eddie Van Halen because of his fretboard playing. It was the first thing I taught myself to do when I first started playing guitar.That's great but I like guitarists like Joe Satriani and George Lynch.

i play guitar,bass,drums & keyboards.. i also have my own recorder, yamaha MD-8.. im 44 & have been playing since i was 10. i started with country music, started on rock at 12..my favorite music styles are southern rock & seattle grunge...

sometimes its the guitar work that gets my attention, sometimes its the drums.. depends on the song & what stands out to me

i play the viola(like a violin)
