Ok, I was abused from the time i was 1 till i was 13 (i am 15 now). You name any type of physical or mental abuse and i have 9 time out of 10 been though it. I was made to shave my head and dress in army clothes. Luckly I was able to get away from this, FYI ithis was my father. Now I have moved on greatly. The problem is, everyone around me hasent, they still see me as the tomboy who would always so up with cuts and brusies. I cant really tell people about this but its really affecting me. I have very few close friends, and many stupid rumors were made and still exist. I want people to see who i really am and not who there stupid friends who dont know know me say i am. Any ideas on how to break out and show them the real me?

Unfortunately you are still suffering emotionally and it's a no wonder why. You have to remember that this was something that someone had no right to put you through.
Has your father had any consequences on this or did you just run away? Either way, you are a survivor, and that's what you need to remember. You have every right to hold your head up high, gather your strength and continue, regardless of rumors.
If it becomes unbearable for you because of what people are saying, then set them straight and don't be afraid. People sometimes judge other people because of what they have heard, as you say, "rumors". You say that you can't really tell people about this ------ yes you can...... It may even help someone else.
You show them your strength, your survival, that's how to show the real you. Hold your head up high!!!!!!!!

You have nothing to prove to any of them loosers, people are always gonna abuse a person Its just th e way of the world. You should find something that you are very good at, and put all your energy into that. You have an inner beauty, and a voice; express them in a more positive way, and you will improve on your selfesteem, and selfworth. The world is such a big place with so many places to turn a new leaf, I say get away from that place that bad person has released his evil spirit on everything around you. Not saying run away, you have to face your fears, just saying, that place is bad karma for you.

I know how hard it is to move on. I have some personal expereince with that and realize that people don't want to let it go. It takes time mostly though, sometimes several years. We actually moved to get away from it and it still followed my family. I ended up getting involved in "normal" activities and trying to show everyone around me that we were over it and life has gone on and we just want to put it behind us. I went through a lot of counseling to help as well. You should look into that. There is nothing in the world like talking to someone who won't judge you and is totally objective.

It sounds like you are reacting amazingly like any normal person your age---worrying about what others say, mad at stupid rumors, wanting people to know who you really are but wary of showing yourself. I think it just takes time and experience. Be willing to take a chance with people, but don't risk too much until they have proved themselves. Some people can be trusted a little, others can be trusted a lot. Find some fun activities with other people. Nobody has many close friends; it takes too much time to develop one. It is good to have more acquaintances, because this is where you find your future friends.

Stop worrying about other people and what they think. Just be your wonderful self and all the trash will be left behind. If you survived what you Father put you though, you can survive this. We expect great things from you, don't let us down.
