I'm looking around for a good mp3 player, but I'm not quite sure what to get. Reading some of the questions here have definitely made me favor the Creative brand. However, I'd like to have music while being active - running, jumping, dancing, etc. I'd also like long battery life and a sleek design. Which Creative mp3 player should I chose (I was thinking either micro or neeon) and are there other brands I should consider? Also, do any of the creatives have armbands or something of the sort so I don't have to hold it?

And...do any of these smaller mp3s allow photo/video viewing and how good is it?

Thanks!

What do you think of the Sandisk Sansa e200s? I was thinking about the 4 gig one.

Also, any insight into Creative's upcoming Neeon 2?

Nah, don't get an iPod. The only reason they are popular is because it's made by Apple and they can advertise a lot.

I'm going to get me a Creative Zen V Plus, which is basically the same thing as an iPod but with a different shape, color accents, and it has FM radio, voice and radio recording, and video and picture capabilities. It's still a flash drive so you can do your physical activities with it. It is smaller than you'd think, but still the total volume is greater than an iPod (not by much.) Part of the reason I'm getting a Creative is because of the more "condensed" shape, because I know I'll have my iPod in my pocket and sit down and have it snap because it's so thin and long. But that's your call. Creative tes over iPod for batter life and charge time, with the qouted run time from Creative being 15 hours, although when Cnet.com reviewed it, it ran for more than 20 hours! You can still add your calendar and contacts list from Outlook to your mp3 player. You can still get you an armband and other accessories. I've also heard the sound quality is great. Now, this hasn't came out yet, but it will be soon.

Or you can wait until the Creative Zen Vision:W comes out. It's like the Zen Vision M, but it's widescreen and has more functions.

Or just get a whole different brand. It's your call, but I hope I've been of some help. Good luck!

I just bought my first one. I asked and compared, and bought the Creative Labs-Zen Sleek Photo. It's 20 G's and has a nice screen for pics, and the software is easy to use. Paid $179 at Walmart.com. Compare 2 gig Ipod for $200, and it's limitations. If you want something small, get a flash memory type. This one has a hard drive. I like it a lot.

Any SanDisk model will work as well as the Creative - those come with arm bands too. If it's likely to get shaken or moved around a lot, stay away from hard drive based models - stick with the flash memory. Hard drives have moving parts that can be jolted out of whack by shaking or bumping. If you want video with it, consider a model with expandable flash memory.

buy the sansa e250(2GB) and expandable. Holds video, photos, and is cheaper than the ipod. Has a recorder, fm recorder, and doesnt stracth as easily as the ipod. Also the battery can be replace by the owner.
