The illegal immigrant issue. Here's why:

People build up cities and neighborhoods in areas that may be prone to natural disasters. Natural disasters can't be prevented. People take certain risks wherever they live because of different climates and living conditions. So move.

Illegal immigration IS so much easier to fix, but it won't be, so I'm completely neutral on the issue. This is something that may only stop when America becomes the third world country it is destined to be after all of the countries that hate us decimate us then we will become as desirable as Iraq....sorry, panic attack there. All better now.

I would say Louisiana floods because many people suffered and lost all their belongings. Some people even lost their children, some were found dead others were found in different cities, which the latter was good. As far as illegal immigrants I find that this bad but not to the extreme of floods. Some illegals do perform certain jobs that others would not. But my feeling on this is that the laws are very slack on this, and illegals should not enter America as they do. We had a similar problem in Puerto Rico when all the Cubans with money landed there and now look at the sad situation Puerto Rico is in. The University of Puerto Rico is teaching more about Communism instead of just being a regular school. So for this I say no illegals permitted here. Before this happened in P.R. things were much better, I was there then as a young girl. Puerto Rico by now should have been a State but because of the turmoil there some people want it to be separated from the United States, some want it to be solely ruled by them. Now they are having people get visas to travel outside, and that is not necessary since we are a Commonwealth.I truly do not have anything against the Cubans that work hard just live their life peacefully, I do have a problem when they try to make think the old Cuban ways.. I will stop here because I love both my countries and I hate the situations happening on both.

Louisiana floods are worse! Katrina flooded my home and thanks to the immigrants (legal and illegal) my house was rebuilt within months of Katrina allowing me to move back and start rebuilding my life again. The "immigrants" also rebuilt 4 other houses on my block and we are all grateful for this since no one else was around to do it! Come to New Orleans and see the devastation for yourself but if you're afraid of illegal immigrants you better stay away....they may just grab you and hand you tools to gut houses or put on a roof!!

You are comparing different things. It is comparing oranges with apples! What is your point in this? You need to be more sensitive to the disaster that happen in Louisiana....how would you feel if you had family that had to deal with it. I you do not know what to talk about ...find a hobby.
For your information "illegal" immigrants worker harder that most people in the USA. I would like to see you picking strawberries, cabbage, etc in the fields with the hot sun hitting your back. Do not be an insensitive @sshole.....

you know the answer to that. these illegals that are coming across the border in droves, are not just mexicans. I watched an interview with a sheriff from texas the other day and he said they have found proof (left in the desert) that some that are crossing are from middle eastern countries. from what they are learning, arabs are learning spanish and paying butt-loads of money to have the "coyotes" bring them across. if the govt doesn't do something soon we're gonna see worse than 9-11. I'm a Bush supporter, but he sure has let the country down on this issue. the country seems to be consumed with a 10 yr old murder case, and the anniversary of Katrina, when this is happening now, right under our noses

Good question.

Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters to ever hit the USA. I worked with victims and victims families. You just dont know the horrible loss, the unbelievable chaos and slow response by state and federal governments cost thousands of people lives and families. I always try to be nice on these boards, but your question is not only selfish, you have a total disregard for human life in general and are low life scum. If you have no experience with the events of katrina keep you mouth shut!!

If an illegal gets a job its probably one that you wouldnt do anyway!

There is no flooding of illegal immigrants into America. That's a racist myth.

Yeah, good comparison.

The burden of teaching the illegals must have hit your school district pretty hard.

what is with the obsession here with illegal aliens? Have they taken your job? Did you used to pick lettuce and now you've been demoted to beets?
