I just got out of a 3 yr relationship not willing it was the guy. He cheated on me. Keeps saying he did it cause he was unhappy. Well my question is Why do I feel like I need the man in my life? How do I move on with my life? I live with him and he told me today that he and this girl are going to try and make things work. We have a 3yr old together. I tried to leave today to go home he won't let me leave. He says he doesn't want me to go to my family saying they are a bad influence on my life. I don't understand why he wants to keep me here. Its like he doesn't want me to be happy or he wants to rub it in my face.

Okay first if he cheated on you then he wasn't good enough for you. You need some you time. He can't make you stay or do anything you don't want to and if he tries to force you to do something kick him in the balls. That always works.lol But he could never say your family is a bad influence i'm sure they wouldn't tell you anything wrong. Just pack up and leave don't listen to him anyone that doesn't want you to talk to your family is wrong for you

It is time for you to tell him it is over. He cheated and is still seeing her. You don't need that in your face 24/7. Tell him that it doesn't matter if he thinks your family is a bad influence. He isn't any better. Take your child and move back home. That is better than what he is putting you through. You have to get away to get over it.

One that is harmful not only to you… but also to your child!!!
Get in touch with your family as a matter of urgency, and ask them to help you.
Do not hesitate to call for police assistance if there is any trouble, because you do not deserve to be held prisoner by the father of your child.
You may feel that you need the man in your life… but you also need to accept that he is, and will continue, to cheat on you… and that it is not in the best interest of your child for the relationship to continue as it is.
Both you and the father of your child are responsible for the child’s welfare.
If you have not as yet sought counselling… it is perhaps advisable that you do so!!!

YOU do NOT need his permission to GET UP AND GO -- and you need to GET UP AND GO!!!!!!!! Get a backbone girl and pick yourself up and your things -- and start moving out right now -- I would do a bit every day and leave the things at your family's home -- and that way by the end of a few days -- well, you take yourself and the child and LEAVE permanently.
After that point, go to get Child Support Started, get yourself a job or career or education, and start BUILDING your SELF-ESTEEM and Confidence -- because you HAVE been ABUSED!!!!!
