How can I raise more money for helping to end extreme poverty?

I need more ideas for raising more money. I am a Senior High School Student and need some ideas. One idea I recieved was to have people pay $1 to smash an egg on my head, have anymore?

Try G2Bay. This is a social networking site where people help each other make and save money. People post their photos, blogs, news, product and service reviews and talk about the stocks they own. Every user gets a Million Dollar Page where advertisers pay to find the right customers. You can state reasons why you need to raise $1 million. The more hits your page gets, the more money advertisers will pour on your page.

Try hosting a pot luck dinner. The participants bring something and a donation is required at the door. We hosted a vegetarian meal for our animal rights club and raised a great deal of money by people volunteering food and time. Lots of people thought a few bucks was a great deal for yummy food.

Also, try your local Starbucks. They will probably donate items for you to auction or raffle and it is part of their mission statement to do this. They have coffee, cute barista bear dolls, and more. Often they have to mark out out of season items and they are looking to donate them. If you would like some more information, give me an email and I can get you in touch with a local manager ASAP.

Also, hook up with a local one.org group at http://www.one.org, or get in touch with an Alpha Phi Omega chapter at a local college through http://www.apo.org. These organizations will work with high school aged students and they'll help you out. I am a lifetime member of APO, a co-ed service fraternity, and APO can get funding from their organization to work with high school students.

I wouldn't involve yourself with it, as it's mostly another liberal cause. The main problem in America today is the obesity epidemic, and to the extent that people are impoverished, to that extent they're lazy, in most cases.
