I doubt whether it came down to the company level, regiments usually started out at 1500 men and officers with few replacements during the course of the war. Regiments were decimated in many battles and numbered at 100 or less at times by 1865.
3-5 regiments formed a Brigade, and 3 Brigades a Division, and 3-4 Divisions a Corps. Of course, during the course of any one campaign various formations were detached for rear guard duty, sent home for rest, etc. etc..... Also, like someone said above, the numbers of formations changed during the course of the war, example prior to Gettysburg, there were 2 Corps, which was changed to 3.

It depends on the unit some contained as few as 250 but in general they fell in the same range and infantry units do in todays army

It depends on the company and the time. You need to be much more precise regarding who the troops are under and where they were at a specific time.
