You get paid more with additional education units, a Master's degree, and units beyond the Master's degree (sometimes even more with PhD or EdD).

California is the 2ND highest state to be paid in education. I believe that they make at least 56,000 per year in that state.

well that person is kind of right.... depends on your certification.... a first year teach w/an intern credential will make like 38,000 a preliminary credential and a few years experience will make mid 50,000.... you have a masters and experience you could get more.... yeah we get more but the cost of living is insane here.

go to edjoin.org and you can see most of the teaching jobs offered and their pay scale for most. listed by county and teachers. you can also apply for jobs here. it is where most schools in cali get teachers now.
