I am only 35 but I love listening to those old lps.I'm just a big country boy living in the city.

I'm glad you asked this question, because I have strong beliefs about this. With LP's, I can "feel" the music, literally. Because of that physical connection of the needle actually dragging on the LP, a "magic air" was created. With the introduction of the CD, that "magic air" died. The music was sterilized. It no longer has the "balls".

Well the cassettes were always getting messed up in the player so I'm glad they are gone. The LP's weren't very portable so I guess I'm happy with the CD's.
I used to love 8 Tracks! Had and 8 track stereo in my house and in my car!!!

I miss the experience of lps. CDs aren't so much to look at. LPs had great graphics, and they had their own smell. I don't miss the expensive systems to play them and the constant cleaning, but lps were nice.
Some said they had a deeper sound but I never noticed.

I am 18 and I love records. I love the cracking sound in the music on a record.

I agree, I love the old records, turning on the turn table, nothing like it. I have still got some 45's rpm, records from when I was a teen, way back in the 60's!...............:)

Albums had a warmer sound, and of course they had great album cover art work. You can't fit anything on a CD case.

Hun, most of my tapes are shot but hten so are my cds, but i have a machine that fixes them now, so that is cool

I love to break out the vinyl on occasion....brings back very fond memories.
