Happiness to me means spending time with family and friends. Happiness is seeing your family after being apart for over a year and having a continent between you also. Happiness is peace with yourself so you can enjoy everything around you until the day you are called to Paradise.

I was asked this question I a Zimbabwean school. The little girl asked What makes you happy? I replied Talking to you. I meant it. I was happy at that time talking to her.
Happiness is a state of mind. It comes to us rather than us finding it. It comes unexpectantly. It is a emptying of thought so that we are present in the moment. Like a sunset, listening intently, love , nice music. But really we must be in the right state of mind to receive it.

To me, there is no happiness. I'm not a sad and deppressed person, but I just think that "happiness" is a time where ppl aren't feeling the usual bad emotions like sadness and anger. A closer word would be content I think.

LIFE! and being able to live every day to its fullest. I've had cancer a few times, so with your mortality stuck clear in your face, you learn awful fast what is & isn't important, just as what does and doesn't make you happy. Life makes me happy, without it I wouldn't have my husband, my kids, my family, my friends. Negativity is for short sited people who are only after instant gratification.

Happiness is getting through another day and not feeling sorry for yourself, or feeling as if someone else is in control of your feelings. It's an ephemeral feelings that's makes me think of the question Aristotle asked. (is the unexamined life worth living?)
I'm happy today...hope you are too. tc

Happiness to me is making my grandchildren giggle. It is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. The part that puts a smile on my face is I can hear the giggles and see the looks on their faces in my mind for hours afterwards

Actually wanting to wake-up and get out of bed in the morning, even when I've got nothing at all to do for the entire day. Combine that with spending time with my best friends and all is well with the world :-)
