I realized how important everything and everyone is to me. I was living a lie thinking I was invincible. Then I was in church and an older gentleman had a heart attack and died. I am a single 46 year old man and I have worked hard and obeyed all the rules. I have very little to be thankful for except for a few people in my life. It was a revelation to be able to go home that day knowing that I may not be able to wake up the next morning to enjoy the simple things this life has to offer. "Simply put, We have no control over our destiny which puts God in the details"

We(our family)are in the midst of a crisis.A little boy for no apparent reason,has been stricken with a terrible illness.He has been in an induced coma,for 12days.The medical people still don't know what is wrong.Now they say if he recovers he'll be brain damaged.Why could this happen to a perfectly healthy baby of 6months Perhaps it's not a revelation,but it's made us more aware of the frailty of life

my most recent revelation was that my depressed boyfriend still has the power to surprise me - and to delight me. i just rolled with it, and it was joyful.
