If you are bored try spicing it up a bit. Take your practice lessons that you have nailed and play them differently. Arpeggiate your scales, find different inversion of chords, thrown in some extra notes, play something in reverse order even. Always try new things when you are ready to progress further. Take some scales and drop a few notes using bends to take thier place. Lessons can only really go so far as you learn only what you are taught, goto your library and find some books to help go beyond your lessons. Try figuring out how to play songs by ear, read guitar magazines and play the songs in them, even if you don't like them. Just stick with it and keep setting new goals slightly a bit more advanced than you have progressed.

everything is difficult when you first start. i have been playing the piano for about 7 years now and i absolutely love it, but during the first year and a half or so i wanted to just give up at least 15 times because it was so frustrating. i stuck with it though, and i'm very happy i did. it's fun to play and stress-relieving, and i'm sure playing the guitar would have the same effect if you really liked it. i suggest not trying to teach yourself, its very frustrating. i took piano lessons since the day i decided i wanted to play, and it's so much easier than if i was trying to teach myself. that way if you have any questions, you can just ask your teacher and there's no confusion or frustration. i hope you keep trying to learn, and if you start to take lessons that's great (: don't give up!

lessons can only do so much, then you need to try things on your own. try learning chords and playing stuff on your own. you cant develope your own style by playing like someone else. some of the best musicians never had a lesson in their life. music is experimentation,so do that. good luck.

Try finding a new, complicated song that you find really interesting/challenging. Or maybe try the electric guitar or something. You know, spice it up a little.

Look for a song that you are interested to play in your guitar. That will help you motivate your interest in continuing to practice. I hope that helps.
