yes, it is a typo epidemic. The letters are the most typed combination in the english language and the fingers tend to get ahead of one another.

Because little boys and girls think they are cool when they do it...
The next generation is largely going to be made up of a bunch of morons. Hopefully the illegal aliens will be able to protect us from ourselves..some of them speak english better than the kids on here anyways..

Sloppy typing, and not bothering to correct it. Everybody thinks of "the" as a relatively minor word.
