Happy Birthday twice, and also pay attention to how your hands feel. Are they squeaky clean, or is there still some film on them? Also, most people are not good hand washers, they roll their hands but ignore each individual finger, thus not cleaning 'tween the fingers well. Do this, take a little time out for this.

Signs in some restaurants say Employees should spend 30 seconds on washing their hands. But I really like that Happy Birthday idea!

I think a person can wash their hands good with soap for 1 minute unless they are unusually dirty which could be anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes.
