In base ten (which we use everyday), 2+2 = 4.....line 1.
In base three (or Z-sub3), 2+2 = 1.....line 2.
In base four (or Z-sub4), 2+2 =0....line 3.
You can learn about lines 2 & 3 in modular arithmetic (in the math area called abstract algebra).

that would be 1, assuming that you're smart and trying to add in Z3 (a three element set under the Abelian group structure, with the boolean operator represented by '+')
just remember, it's isomorphic to Z/3Z... just identify the equivalence classes and write down the most obvious addition table for them
