Do you find it useful to carry two phones? I.e. one for work, one for personal use? Or, one for voice calls, the other for e-mail/data?

Good lord, NO. Not in my personal life. I get enough of that at work. Beepers, sat phone, blackberry, office console & 'private' phone......spare me. I'm so tired of having calls waiting while I've got one handset in one ear & one head-set in the other.

I would find it really annoying. But like stated here, if you company requires you use the business issued phone for business only, you'd have too. Also, if they issue a Blackberry, without the voice plan, you would have to. Other than when your company forces something like this, I would suggest carrying one device. I have a motorola Q that handles multiple email accounts, and is a great phone. In addition, you can group contacts into business or social and assign different ringtones, so you'll know if it is an important business call, or your buddies. And you look less of a tool carrying around all these gadgets on your belt.

I know some people have two for various reasons- one so that they know which is for business and which is personal -family needs as sometimes family can't get through when one phone is busy all the time and vice versa. Some also have one with a camera and one without as some places don't allow phones with cameras. I kept my old camera-less phone for that purpose too rather than sell it.

Yes; one a Nextel for work with walkie-talkie feature only, and my personal cell phone for everything else. Otherwise my employer will charge me for any personal or non-documented business calls I make. Way to much hassle for me, since most of my day is out of the office.

Unless the company gives you a phone for business only then yes..you would have to have one for personal use as well.

I guess that sounds logical if you're a professional person with as many business contacts as social contacts.
