and i have to go this weekend i am so scared!! i might need braces and it hurts like hell please help!

I had a root canal yesterday, which is worse than a filling. I have had several fillings, and I can tell you from having atleast 14 fillings and now a root canal that it really doesn't hurt. Have you ever had a shot at the doctors? This shot doesn't feel like that. It isn't like a shot at the doctor. It pinches a little, but it isn't that bad, the dentist will use a topical numbing gel on your gums before giving you the shot. Believe me, it isn't that bad. I just had one yesterday, in fact, they gave me 5 shots. The first one I felt a little, but the other ones after that, I didn't even feel.

well you never had braces so you cant really make a statement saying that it hurts like hell.
braces doesnt hurt that bad. its just the feeling of braces and the difference from being braceless.
dont be scared. cause you'll get used to it. it won't kill you.
andd alsooo. most likely theyll say that you'll need braces cause they like money. xD
but the descision is really yours.

No they don't hurt. Your mouth will be sore for a week but it doesn''t HURT real bad or anything. They just put this thing in your mouth to hold it open. It's in there a while and they glue the things on there and then they remove the thing from your mouth and then put the wire in. When they are moving they are sore but it's not like PAIN or anything. You'll be fine.

IT'S NOT GOING TO HURT! i ALREADY GOT BRACES AND IT DID NOT HURT!
Sorry for the caps. But don't be scared. It doesn't hurt at all. The only bad thing is that your mouth feels weird since you got metal on your teet. But then you get used to it.

I had braces, and they aren't that bad. Just think, you may have to get your wisdom teeth pulled! That's is a bear...good luck!

You should be afraid. I had one many years ago who used to always "find" cavities, even when there were none. He also drilled them without anesthesia, just sprayed something on my teeth, but that didn't help. I immediately stopped going to him.

just relax, that can make it hurt more. I think they drug you up when they put them in. I know alot of people that have them, i know they hurt, but they don't seem to complaim alot about them much.
