This just happened last week. I was on my way to my classes and I was t-boned by a semi. I am fine, and very lucky to be alive. I've got some major injuries, including cracked and fractured ribs, a couple of gashes that required stitches, a broken ankle and a bruised kidney. This was the scariest things that has happened to me, unless you consider witnessing 9/11 first hand, either one is bad

Hi Liz, I am a sky diver and the scariest thing that ever happened to me was,one weekend I was down in Palatka Florida, jumping and it was pretty cloudy we use a GPS system to locate where to leave the plane to land on the airport on target. on the way up we payed no attention to how low the cloud base was,we climbed to 14,500' above the ground. I went out the door and began my freefall we reach speeds up to 120mph and faster, now you are not suppose to open a parachute in a cloud to prevent a jumper still in freefall from crashing into you.normal altitude for me was 2,000' above the ground.when I finally punched through the cloud I already had my pilot chute which you throw out to open the main,I had to give enough space between me and the cloud to be safe from anyone else coming behind me.my opening height was only 1000' above the ground and I had the dreaded slow opening.Once the canopy fully inflated I was only 400' above the ground, had it not fully opend there I was less than 1 maybe 3 seconds at the most from impact with the ground with no parachute open at 120'mph. and that was SPOOKY!

jun 2005, the outskirts of Baghdad. We were sent to kill a top terrorist that was organizing some insurgents in the area. We killed the men surrounding the house and began our assault. No one new we were there, we raided the house, and the way to do it is from bottom to top.
So we went down stairs. I was the first man in. As we went down the stairs to kill insurgents as insurgents were coming upstairs to fill up a truck to transport weapons. I came face to face with one of the ugly son of bitches.
He had an RPG so my men didn’t fire on him but rather the 6 guys behind him. As I tried to swing my rifle behind my back. I was hit in the leg. We were fighting hand to hand in on a stair cases no more than 3 feet wide. Before he could get me to the ground I kneed him in the face.
The son of a ***** bit my hand, and I pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the head. I remember looking up at the ceiling trying to stay out of the cross fire between my men and the enemy. I tried to cover my self with my side arm I was able to pull out. His blood was starting to seep into my pants, just soaking in. We suppressed there fire and killed them.
We cleared the rest of the house and bombed the building. We left and walked strait into an ambush about 3 miles from there. My men got down and returned fire hopping the enemy wouldn’t stick there heads out to see use good enough to get a good shot.
Half of use stayed there firing while the other half snuck to the right thwarts them and then past the enemy position without them knowing. We turned around and open fire on them, completely surprised, they didn’t have enough time to move and we killed them.
No one on our side was killed. We used some escape evasion techniques to throw off anyone advancing on our position and met up with a chopper.
This wasn’t the scariest thing that happened to me but ill bet our enemy was shitting bricks.
That was the only time my fire team was discovered and had such an intense fire fight.

Before I was diagnosed with Premature Ventricular Contractions, I did not know that they were harmless, and they used to freak me out. It feels like a skipped heartbeat. I couldn't sleep if it happened at night, which made it worse cause I got all stressed out. They are harmless and very common, but can be extremely scary if you don't know what they are.

2 of my friends were walking with me near a gate in school, that gate had sharp wires on the end.
one of my friends leaned near the gate, he bent his head down so it was leveled with the gate for some reason, and then this little 5 year old pushed the gate open, and my friends lip ripped to the end of his face, 22 stitches.... thank god that wasn't me
