I really wouldn't let this get to you. You have a life and one worth living, take control of your own life and make a difference, don't let anyone scare you into hiding in your own home. You can't control what other people are doing, you can just make your own life the best it can be.

U can't live ur life worrying like this sweetheart. I understand ur scared, but it's 44 years away and it is still only 17% of the population, now being from the UK myself i know the kind of psycho's that live there and they can totally take them, lol. It's not only Islam that hates gays either and even if they do odds are most of them aren't at all interested in throwing u off a cliff, only the extremists and they hate and want everyone dead anyway. Try not to worry about it too much, u can't stop what is going to happen, but u can live so that if something terrible does happen u will have no regrets, life is too short to be this afraid :-)

Seems to me you can live in fear and growing hate, or you can get beyond your stereotype, learn more about Islam and realize that as with all religions, the extremists are a minor voice that yells really loud. There are many peaceful Muslims. LOL, a lot of the emigrants don't want to live under those extremists views. Perhaps befriending them, welcoming them into the more accepting UK ways, will be more effective than drawing religious lines and forcing everyone to choose sides.
By the way, the fundementalist christians in the US probably already make up 17% of the populations. They openly call us unnatural abominations meant for hell. I big chunk of them would agree with your iman. Both would rather push each other off that cliff and I doubt they'd ever join forces long enough to push anyone else off first.

i am not from england, but, about 2 days afters the attempted bombing, i was returning to the continental u.s. from puerto rico, and my flight was delayed 2 hours! you also couldn't bring in any makeup. one woman that i saw was very upset because they took away her entire box of makeup. it looked expensive!
