I think the WWE did him a favor. They knew he was going to drive himself into an early grave. Kurt had some major problems going on he needed to address:
1. His neck is one good hit away from sending our Olympic Hero into paralysis. He got a quick fix surgery. He needs a fusion like Beniot, Lita, and Stone Cold received.
2. Torn tricep
3. Torn groin
4. He is going thru a divorce with Karen Angle (his wife of 7 or 8 years)
5. He's burned out
6. He has had troubles in the locker room
7. This is just forcing him to heal from injuries and deal with his problems.
Once he gets thru all these issues, the WWE will take him back with open arms. He is one of the best ever!

he was released from his contract or fired because of various reasons among them his continually working injured which will cut his career short basically working through injuries that would become serious problems down the road , other reasons include his heat in the back apparently angle was pushing for hmself to be on tv alot over other wrestlers leading many to believe he is only interested in furthering his career and not contributing to others. many feel angle would have eventually burnt out and could have possible injured himself or others in the process thus making him an unsafe worker. the hope is that with some time to recuperate and rest from wrestling could bring him back to where he was in the prime of his career

personal issues. one large one is he is about to go threw a divorce, the women divorcing him is carrying his son and he wants to try to mend it over. another reason is to let all his nagging injries heal. the two parted on good terms so it is possible he will be back in the future

He wasnt release he was suspended. BEcause he failed the drug test. He was hooked on pain killers, and he is in ECW because they need to fee l the roster there.

it was mutual. his body is torn up bad, and he wants to spend some time with his family. but it was on good terms. so he can come back if he wants.
