I am responsible, but i feel geeky in glasses!

i told my mom that i wanted contacts really badly and shes like when i think ur responisble enough ( that was a year ago) and then i ask her again this year and im like please mom i h8 my glasses they bug me and shes like ill think about it and im like but mom please...fine i just wont wear my glasses ever again and shes like fine ill get you them

Ask to go to your ophthalmologist or optometrist and get information from him or her about contacts. See if you're at the right age and if your eyes can handle contacts. Some people become extremely irritated with contacts. If for some reason, they say you're not ready. The alternative route is to buy new, chic glasses that look great. I love the lenses with black frames around them. Ultra chic and super trendy. I've seen a lot of celebrities wear them. If you want to take a more adventurous side, get a different color like blue, red, pink, purple! There's a lot of types of glasses offered on the market right now like Lenscrafts.

If you have a pet that is yours alone use that to your advantage. If you can take care of somthing living your responsible enough to have contacts.

tell her that with glasses, it's really hard to excercise. i mean like when your running, it feels very uncomfortable. or you can say i want that for my x-mas or b-day present. good luck =)

i had the same problem. tell them you wanna go out for a sport and you need them to be able to move around and see things. thats what i said

get a job, pay for the exam and the lenses yourself and prove to her that you can take care of them!

tell her kids are making fun of you...4 eyes...see i just did it...explain how you really feel...oh and you know she is just going to try and say they are just jelious...which isnt the fact and she should know that...but if you pull the....IF YOU LOVED ME YOU'D DO LET ME HAVE THEM SO I CAN BE HAPPY!!
