"Take 10 drops of tincture under the tongue hourly. This will have noticeable effect on the cervix in three or four hours. Continue until the cervix is fully soft and ripe".

Semen is medicaly proven to help soften the cervix and induce labor, but your husband can only produce so much. So when the time comes, you may want to ask your husband to invite a few of his buddies over to help fill you up. Just think of it as them trying to help alleviate your medical condition, no different than donating blood or bone marrow really.

Now, obviously I am NOT a medical professional, but my midwife friends recommended a capsule that was a combination of herbs called 5-W I believe. Your midwife/doctor will probably be able to tell you more/when to take it..that kind of thing. All I know is that by 40 weeks I was fully effaced (cervix was fully thinned) and I was dialated 5cm before I even went into full labor. My Braxton Hicks contractions were strong and regular, but I didn't find them painful. My water broke 2 days after my due date, and labor started about an hour after it broke. I went from 5cm to fully dialated in 5 hours! My total labor (pushing and all) was 7 hours and 40 mins. This is with my first baby, and the only reason I pushed so long was my daughter was posterior presentation (i.e. back labor!). Please please please though check w/your medical person/doctor/midwife before you take anything! My experience may have been a fluke, but maybe the herbs did have something to do with it! Hope this helps...and good luck! I've listed a website below that describes 5W that I found after a net search.

The best thing a woman can do for her and the baby is to let the baby come naturally. Now if the baby is way pass the due date then a Dr. should be the one to induce labor.
Nature is a beautiful thing...we just have to have patience and let it happen.

I haven't used it and I don't think it sounds like a very good idea. The baby will come when he or she is good and ready.

Don't use that crap. Just stimulate your nipples. That induces labor naturally.
