EE is harder!

Look, EE is harder. I say this knowing people who have done, and are currently in both programs, and I am neither - hence a relatively neutral party.

Law requires analytical thinking, ability to focus, and the ability to read A LOT. It is, however, at the base of it simply understanding how to manipulate a set of rules.

EE requires all of that with the addition of abstract thinking, math, and knowledge of other subjects - metallurgy, chemistry, physics, etc. It is also more demanding and rigorous in terms of time, required knowledge, and the depth of knowledge necessary to do day-to-day work once you're in a career. It will also likely make you pasty and possibly antisocial - this does not occur with the study of law.

Not that the BAR exam is easy, but the fact remains that most people who go into Law school do so with social science degrees, and had easier undergrads than most anyone in a science/engineering program. Take their opinions with a grain of salt.

I knew plenty of people in Sci/Eng that shifted down to social sciences to get A's and boost their GPA, and also knew plenty of Social Sci majors that had to take one course of basic physics or Calc and failed mutliple times. The EE discipline is simply harder - maybe not harder to excel in than law, but harder overall.

Ah, I see the ABA has reps here.

No, law is not harder than Electrical Engineering. EE takes a lot of really hard math, and most colleges have courses designed to eliminate all but the very best. Anybody can get a law degree if they can get admitted. Look at Anita Hill.
