I live in the US she lives in Canada. She stoped traveling to see me because she is on her last two months of the pregnancy. One of the reason's why she is not traveling they are taking a sonograph every couple of weeks on the final months of the pregnancy were before they took it every month. Is this to much?

Well, maybe it's different up there, but that does seem a little much to me. With both of my boys--very healthy, normal, and uneventful pregnancies--I had one done at around 20 weeks and again about a month before birth (to make sure the baby's facing in the head-down position for birth). Though with my second, I moved out of state just after I was 9 weeks pregnant (found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks) and they did a sonogram b/c they couldn't pick up the heartbeat with a stethoscope. I think they half did that one just for me and just because I was moving (as in, no real medical reason, they weren't worried, but I obviously was).

But I wonder....did she have any complications they need to keep an eye on? If so, that might be why. If not, I have no idea why, and I'd frankly be worried that were looking for something, you know? You might call the doctor's office and ask. My ob's were always really polite, so I don't think they'd mind and are probably used to calls like that.

maybe not... they are just making sure everything is okay with mother and child... it might seem like a lot to you because you miss her and that's the reason why you can't see her... just think, it'll all be over soon... good luck
