I leave in about 2 weeks and i'll be there till dec. any one done this before? any suggestions?
What kind of clothes should i bring for the weather? does anyone know of any good pubs? any activities i should do while i'm there?

it depends where you are coming from. It doesn't really get very cold in the south of England until January but that is relative, if you are from Mississippi it will seem cold. It does rain so do bring wet weather gear. London is enormous and with out knowing where you are going to live it is hard to say what pubs etc are like but if you are staying any where near students they will guide you in the right direction. Try and get out of London at least once. Cambridge is very near and if you go outside term time, after November 31st you can stay in some of the colleges. Go to www.studentlife.com they have information on this. Other universities also rent out rooms but their terms are much longer. Also go onto The Student Room uk theree are message boards ther and you can go to one where there are students from your university.

Take an umbrella and a semester's worth of decent food. Good luck.

Waterproofing for your shoes. And if you can get it over there, take root beer & peanut butter, and Mexican food fixings. They are hard to find over there.
