I'm sure you already know to see a doctor for an accurate diagnosis. If you are looking for best guesses/opinions here, mine would be that you have a goiter. I say this only because the two people I know that had them, had that exact same symptom. Worth checking out. If it is, it's best to have it treated right away if it's large and, if not, at least have it monitored periodically for growth.

I had the same feeling too. I went to the doctor and he said it was due to a scratch in throat, somthing I ate had scratched the area and it felt like a lump. So I would assume that any injury including acid reflux could cause that feeling.

It could be your thyroid. I had to have mine removed because it was a "goiter" which means an enlarged thyroid. Over a 3 year perioid it grew from a normal size (e.g. golf ball) to a bigger size (e.g. tennis ball) and I had to have it removed because it kept growing. Eventually, it would have started pressing on my esophagus and become hard to swallow food. People never even noticed it, my neck was very slightly enlarged. Lean back your head and feel your neck. Do you feel a bulge?
Another thing, my cousin had a lump in her throat and had to have it removed. It was some type of growth, but it was benign.
Hope all works out for you. LOL.

It could be anything, like mucus from cutting a wisdom tooth.
Try Enchinachea, an herb that is good for the throat, sinus.
Eat horseradish sauce and see if it clears up.
U could try pepsid AC , it could just be air, or spit.
Dont worry, think positive, its probably self healin

it could be a nuber of things. It could be an enflamed epiglotis, or even a tumor. cancer running in family history or not, it can be!!! it could also be a swollen thyroid (though i doubt that) there r many other options!!! Ask your local doc.

I believe I have one too..I dont smoke or anything. But I'm around people who do smoke..So i might be experience second hand smoke. But I don't know if that's the case. I keep trying to tell my mom to take me to the doctor, but she says she will, but never does.

It's probably just a tonsil stone. Lots of people get it. If you can't get it out by yourself, just go to the dentist and they'll use a special vaccum to suck it out.
