We are under Bush's "Patriot Act". We are not as free as we used to be. Aside from that little technical difficulty, most Americans don't know the name of the nation that borders the U.S.to the north. I'm not joking. We have a slight cultural crisis occurring here related to a couple of generations now being raised on Gummy Bears, bible stories and video games rather than on math and science.

Yes, there are many free countries, if by free you mean the freedom to criticize your own government and make fun of your leaders (a favorite American pastime), or the freedom to start your own religion (another thing Americans are skilled at), or the freedom of the press and don't forget the freedom to engage in business.
So which free country are you from?

Simply stated, yes.
Most of us are well aware that there are many free nations in the world. There may be variations in how we go about practicing that freedom, but it is undeniable that there are a number of free and open societies.
We are among the most successful of them, however.

Yes, I want everyone to know that the United States is very oppressive and no one with any hopes of ever being truly free should live here. No one should travel here to go to school, work, get health care, or get benefits from our growing welfare state. It is not worth it.
That statement ought to pretty much solve our immigration problem right?

Are you willing to give all your assets to everyone else? Will that get you to create more wealth for everyone. Will the employer still have to pay the new co-owners if patrons don't come in & spend money?

According to most Americans, we live in the greatest country ever invented, God is on our side and punishes those who go against us, and we have the freedom to do whatever the hell we want *which usually consists of talking freely on our cell phones, and freely watching waste of time reality tv shows*. In answer to your question, No, Americans will never admit that their might be someone on upping us in the freedom department. We are the only country that exports pure democracy, 100% George W approved. The only reason people don't wonder more "isn't what we live under turning into facism?" and the answer is also, NO. It isn't facism because we don't Call it facism. We call it America freedom.

I tend to point out the bad thigns of this country. But here is an oportunity to point out one of best things in this country. We have a lot of freedom in this country...more than any country I know of. Thank you for reminding me what is great about this country.
