if i am wearing the patch n take a pregnancy test will the patch cause a false positive?

im using the birth control patch n i also herd that its ineffective for the first week n to use another form of birth control is this true?

No it will not. Only certain medications like fertility drugs can affect the outcome of pregnancy tests. It is possible to have a false positive but it is really rare. If you got a positive test you should go to the doctor and confirm it.

I don't know the answer to that question. But I do know I got pregnant on the patch with my youngest daughter. And a few weeks after I found out I also learned a cousin, and one of her friends also got pregnant with the same meathod of birthcontrol!

Depends on what kind of patch.......smoking, pain, contraceptive, etc.
