I totally understand girl, you hang in there and just think it will one way or the other will get done. Worry or not. The children are acting out their anxieties and you don't need any extra pressure that for sure, but in reality the move will come and yall will survive it! Best wishes to you and your family.

moving is always crazy, but it's so nice to be in a new house. pack the important stuff you really need, anything else, put to the side for a chance to have a tag sale before you have to be officially out of the house, or just donate it. less stuff to pack. how old are your kids? can you maybe get them to help you by turning the task of packing into a game? or have them clean and turn that into a game or something. i've helped people move before, and we were having a tag sale and we let the younger girl run it and she was just having a blast with it, she's usually the one to get off track and start unpacking and playing but she enjoyed it. even while the u-haul people are there, pack more stuff, like a crunch time kinda thing, while they get stuff pack more. is there any friends or anybody that you can call to help you? moving is stressful, thats just what it is, but having people, anybody at all help you, can make it less stressful, because you have company and it goes by faster.
also, it's summer. send the kids outside to play if they are making a mess or something.

Yes, Breathe, deep and slow. You need to get a handle on those kids of yours. Slow them down. Give them specific things to do as far as packing their things. Each should put their toys, stuff on dresser, school books, etc into a box or tote. Mark the box with their name on it so it goes to the right room in the new home.
If they mess behind you, put your foot down. Make them stop and give them an extra chore to do.
Don't let them run all over you............whether you are moving or not. I think you need some self discipline yourself.
Also, ask a neighbor, family member or friend if they could please take the children to a movie, bowling, park, etc. Offer to pay for their children too. That way you will have about 2-4 hrs. to yourself and can accomplish a lot with no interruptions.

This may help..when you move anything with drawers, (bureaus, nite stands, hutches, etc.) don't pack the stuff from the drawers. Take the drawers out when you move the item to the truck, replace the drawers in the truck, and do the same thing when you get to your new home..it saves a lot of packing and you won't lose a lot of stuff. Put important things in the car with you..documents, bills, stuff you may need to get at right away..GOOD LUCK (:O)

first of all, don't panic. That won't help at all lol. next, your best bet is going to be to pack as much breakable things in boxes as you can, then use blankets. pile stuff in the middle of them, then tie the ends. give the kids things to do like color or give them jobs to do that will keep them busy. do you by chance know a neighbor who would mind watching them for just a little while?
good luck on the move!!

If you absolutely can't find someone to watch the kids, find something to entertain them (maybe a movie) or enlist them in the packing. You might also want to call up a friend to help with the packing.

Can you take them to a friends house? A pool in the neighborhood? Chuck E Cheezies? How old are the kids? Are they old enough to ration/make deals? Maybe a bribe would work--like you will get to pick out a new toy when we move or something if you help mommy/daddy?

put your kids to work. You don't say how old they are but if they are young you need to involve them in what you are doing so they are occupied and too busy helping to drive you crazy or Put their favorite movie on and pack as fast as you can (seriously!) and if they are older make them help you by packing another room or labeling boxes or whatever.

we just moved and saved so much time and aggravation by packing as much as we could into heavy-duty CLEAR plastic bags!
they are oversized......fit much more than boxes, and, you can " squish " them like the space-bags...before you tie them closed.....they will " fluff " back up when you open them and let the air in...
also, we threw all the kids toys into bags.....and all the yard stuff......these bags were HUGE!!!
anything that we didn't have to worry about breaking...went into bags.....and, since they were clear...it was easy to see which room everything went into at the new place!!!

Tell the kids that if they don't knock it off, you're going to leave their stuff behind and they're going to have to go to school wearing the same clothes everyday until November.
