If you had a crank sensor going bad would that cause the engine to run bad or car to run funny at idle?

Absolutely, but other things could cause the same simptoms. You can get a tool to read the cars computer
for about $30, and find out exactly what is wrong before you spend hundreds on doing the wrong repair

no it wont cause it to run bad it will cause it not to run at all it will shut the car down and stall it out then it wont start again until it cools off then it will run until it gets hot and it will quit again the oxygen sensor will make it run bad and miss and feel real sluggish try that it is not the crankshaft sensor

a bad crank sensor once it goes bad it wont allow the car to start.

no crank sensor is just what it says its for cranking, the rough idle is low idle sensor probably bad. try getting a tune up on it.

yes it would since the crankshaft sensor is used by the engine to control the ignition (spark and timing)

Yes, it would.. replace it asap..
