Will it be possible to fix? Or do you think the ignorant, hateful masses are going to keep in positions of power crooks just as bad as the current administration?

I'd say between 16 and 20 years.

If the right people are put in power it will dpend on which aspects need to be fixed. For example; I think we can fix our image on the world scene within 8 years. Fixing the defecit will take about 10 years. Fixing the environment, by that i mean adding all the pro-environment legislature that he should of been adding and not pro pollution, will take about 10 - 15 years. Fixing the unity of the country, so that the South and North, Liberals and Conservatives are not bickering with each other will not take that long... these groups will never get along, but can better stand each other with the right people in power.

The USA was screwed up long b/f Bush. Just look at the Clinton administration. Oh, right! He was a great President who lied, cheated, had no morals. He was a disgrace to the office of the President. Give me a break!

In all of history if you look at the average life span of the more popular governments, even ancient cultures, you'll realize that none of them last long after 200 years... and our bicentenial was only a little while ago. We wont be the United States for much longer.

Close, 13 to 16 years. I don't think the middle American will tolerate too much more of the extreme bull ... or we are going to swing 100% socialist. Hard to say what is going to happen.

well we still haven't recovered from Clinton what makes anyone think that we'll recover from any president... I think we're doing fairly well... We could be starving to death or living with out police or medical personnel... I think the one thing that probably wont recover is that stupid NO STUDENT LEFT BEHIND ACT... I'm sorry but if my child can't do something they need to be left behind to learn it... I had a friend in high school that couldn't multiply or divide he couldn't spell a single word... He graduated that's sad and it's only gonna get worse...
