No because they helped My Chemical Romance. There problem is simply they commercialy sold out to the point where every prep with a iPod could claim they were a green day fan without knowing there work. What they need to learn is not every song on the album needs to be a single.
Also it's not their fault they're over played.

If by "shot", you mean "canonised", then yes.
If by "shot", you mean "killed by wounding with a high velocity small caliber shell", then no, not at all. Why would you want to do that to such great, upstanding, out-rocking guys?
