I'd just get a couple of the bombs, set up in the attic, close the door and in 3-4 hours, they will all be dead. Then, plug up the areas where they are coming inside.

Um....bees hate spiders....but you might be replacing the problem. Moth balls work really well for rats - inexpensive to try. If you are able to cool the area down considerably, maybe use a fire extinquisher, then you can knock the hive loose. Smoke only works to calm bees into a trance...Live citronella leaves or citronella oil - not the lantern type - can be sprayed into the hive as a natural alternative. They do not like citronella. I use the county agriculture extension agent for all of my questions - they are very knowledgeable about local issues in your own area.

Call an exterminator, especially if you live in an area that has Africanized bee population. Man in Tucson died a few days ago from over 300 stings trying to remove bees from his attic.

I have seen these jars that the bees can fly into and then they can't get out. There is some kind of sweet liquid in the jar that attracts them. I suspect you have a nest so after the bees are caught in the jar, you'll probably want to find the nest and get rid of it or more will come around.

Smear honey on your naked body and stand in the attic. Sometimes it helps if you also hum "Voyage of the Valkary".
