With all the bad news on T.V. I think there should be a news channel with nothing but good news so people can be happy about at least one thing a day. Example today on the news (in between the bad news) there was a story about 14 endangered sea turtles that were saved last fall. They were reabilated and released in Mass. Things like this should be on everyday. There are millions of things being done around the world by people why do we always have the displeasure of hearing all the bad and only one good thing? Let's report the good. Let's forget about glorifying all the bad and lets glorify the simple good things (feeding the hungry and helping the poor, helping our enviroment, and treating everyone and everything with respect.) no matter how small.

For the people who want to hear the bad news so they can protect themelves. Do you not realize that while we live in fear and "terror" then the TERRORIST win. The bad news you bank on only feeds our fears. And the media makes sure to help fuel it even more.

CNN - All Jon Benet Ramsey all the time.
People do good things every day, but the media focuses on sensationalism (Remember the Maine, Remember Pearl Harbor, Remember 9/11, etc.).

That's not good news, that's filler. Good news would be when the bad news stops. If you think about it, the news is for the masses, paid for by the rich advertisers. People buy more things from the advertisers when they are terrified. Good, calm news makes people docile and happy to stay home and not buy things.
There is no 'good' news for you. The good news is all for people who buy the advertising to start with, and it comes from their bank.

On NBC tonight they showed a woman who returned to New Orleans and started cleaning up the devastation. Because of her there are thousands of people from across the country working together to clean up New Orleans and help its citizens get back on their feet.

Bad news gets more attention, which gets more advertisers, which makes more money. It is all about money. I would watch your channel though.

The official party line from media conglomerate is that good news does not sell. (My response is, we haven't seen any, so how would you know if it sells or not?)
