Sometimes my wife would "copy" her feelings onto me... The room may be cool to her, so she'd ask if I wanted a sweater because I "looked" cold (SHE was cold, but I felt fine)... This could be the case with your mate - He/she may feel jealous and insecure and is simply copying that onto you when - in reality - they are the actual jealous/insecure party...
A lie is a lie... If they REALLY felt that way about me, I'd ask for specific examples of such behavior...
Otherwise, I'd just let it go... No sense getting riled up over something that isn't true...

What would make them say that? Are you? If they apologize it's because they know they hurt your feelings but probably still hold the opinion. Spend some time thinking about what would provoke the comment....or ask a close friend for their opinion of you.

There is some cheating going on somewhere.. or at least in the thoughts.. when trust goes.. there is nothing left.. even the best sex cannot replace trust. Actually, trust is the basis for the best love making. I think a relationship like that has some issues.. and might not want to continue with it.

I'd be angry, and it would hurt my dignity, I would ask what makes me jealous and insecure, I would listen and decide if I agree or not. I would say why I do or why I don't agree, and I wouldn't feel better if she apologized. I'd just keep bein' me, cuz that's all I can be, in this life I lead.

It would be a nice slap in the face. I'm sure but they may be telling us that that is what they are seeing so we can try and change it. Either that, or they are the jealous and insecure ones and are just trying to cover it up.

I would take a few days and meditate on those words. I would try to figure out the root cause of my jealousy and insecurity. I would try to figure out what my fears are, because these two characteristics originate from your fear. I just want to assure you that she is with you for a reason that makes you special.

Take the criticism of you spouse seriously. Maybe some counseling by someone or some health plan might help. Seek a couples group and talk it out. The talking cure is as old as mankind. Take it seriously.

That did happen to me. It hurt my feelings, but I realized at the time that it was true. I worked on things, and am no longer that jelous and insecure person.

Being that it's not true, it would hurt . I would be questioning as to why they feel that way. Apologies are nice, but unkind words cannot be taken back, once they are out they are out.
