I don't think anyone has found the meaning of psychology, we are continually adapting our appreciating of what the human mind is capable of and how our behaviour can be a measurable indicator of our internal thought process.
Psychology is a huge discipline and Freud and Jung just represent one section of the field...psycho-analysis isn't psychology, its one type of psychological theory.
I'd say that the earliest psychologists were Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, they began to inquire into the meaning on human existence which is always at the root of any psychological endeavour.
YOu've got the biological psychologists, clinical, child development, abnormal, cognitive neuroscience, criminal psychology, social psychology, the philisophical psychologist and existentialists, humanists, nihilists, so many types of interpretaions.
The beginning of what we know to be psychology today could be traced back to Fowler and Phrenology...where we used to try and associate different parts of the skull (from dead people) to their case histories, so if someone showed dysfunction of a particular feature, and had a deep groove in a certain part of their inner skull, it was assumed that area was responsible for that function, its very outdated now but you've seen those porcelain heads with all the areas mapped out on the head, that's phrenology and before that everything was speculation!
Really good question, shame no-one has a clue!!

Jung the founder of the meaning of psychology. Look on Yahoo, founder of the meaning of psychology. It's a concept of the working of the mind, it's capabilities, it's capacity, and how we are willing to apply that to our everyday thinking, including, integrating that with other peoples thoughts and feelings. Good Luck
