I heard somewhere that boys and girls develop physical and mental skills at different rates. With this in mind, is there an argument for staggering their educations to take this into account? This may even out the current disparity in examination results.

Not only are they at different rates, but at different ages. Remember also that individuals, not just boys or girls, learn at different rates and one will learn better with different teaching methods than another. It would be impossible to tailor an educational system to childrens' individual needs. Only with parental involvement can kids really learn well, no matter what sex or age. Parent involvement in their child's education can have a big impact on the examination results as well. Their social development is important too, so it is important for children to be with others their own age. All of these things effect their learning. Staggering their education isn't the answer, parenting is.

but how can a teacher possible do that and manageto teach? if every childs needs and age etc etc were to be taken into consideration every child would need a tutor or be homeschooled and there would be no point of school. also life is tough. once you get out of school no ones gonna give a sh*t so might as well get used to it from an early age
